We've long been interested in paper engineering and through discussions with The British Museum Press we were
invited to create an interactive paper product for the Sutton Hoo ship. The design had to be sympathetic to 3
existing models, but we had to bring the designs a more contemporary feel. We commissioned illustrator
Richard Lee to depict both the ship, people and the artifacts that were found in and around the ship. The
illustrations and the paper engineering of the ship had to be as accurate as possible to be approved by the
curators envolved.
The model is for sale both in the British Museum shops and on the website at
