The original game was played with four dice (although only three survive today) made from stone shaped to form a
tetrahedron, (four sided pyramid). In order to tie in with the scale of the game we decided that the die should be
large, this would also allow the dice to be seen from a great distance and create an artifact that the 'pieces'
would enjoy playing with. As the game was intended for children and the general public to play it was important
that the dice be safe and so we constructed them of foam which was then covered with fabric and used fabric paint
to distinguish the corners.
