Very early on in the discussion process we decided that the design on the board had to stay as close to the original object as possible. A graphical representation of the
design on the board could confuse the visitor, and compromise the object. Various design/construction ideas were developed culminating in the construction of the board in one metre square tiles (effectivly large 'mousemats'). Digital print of the graphic was then mounted on a plyable but firm substrate, then protected with a coating making the board resilient enough to walk on without damaging the print.
