Through discussions with digital artist nullpointer we
constructed a modular, traditional housing for digital art. An obsolete laptop with no hard drive or system is captured in a tasteful gold frame
ready to be hung in any appropriate environment. This unique system hosts a series of easily interchangeable artworks written specifically for
floppy disk (the disk must contain both the art work and the operating system designed to run it). The initial disk in the series is 'Clock' a
simple application that renders the current time as colored blocks and lines which drift across the painting changing patterns with the passing hours. |
