We were approached by the British Museum to create two hands-on activities for families
to use in the Museum. The first was to create sets of building blocks with images of lamassu
(Ancient Near East creatures). The second to make copies of a traditional Mexican calender.
We decided to create the blocks out of cedar as it's pale in colour, light in weight and cost effective. We made the calenders out of plywood with bookbinding screws for the axel.
Working with a fantastic local screen printer we screened the graphics, this worked beautifully with the timber.
